Especially western world where living conditions are among the best and most comfortable, which leads us to sedentary lifestyle. We’ve got machines and computers doing all the work and majority of people just sit around without moving much while being on the job. When these people come home tired, they tend to kick back on the couch and watch TV. Few are going out for a walk or a run on regular basis. Fewer people each year participate in some sort of outdoors activities such as sports, hiking, cycling. First of all analyze your health. Do you have any prostatitis symptoms such as frequent urination, feeling of being unable to completely empty your bladder? First you need to be more active. If your job requires you to spend most of the day sitting in chair you need to change that. Every 15 to 30 minutes you need to get up and do a couple of easy exercises. Stretch your legs, take a short walk somewhere. That somewhere might as well be the restroom. By the way urinating regularly does help prevent and treat prostatitis. Do not ever hold urine inside you. If you want to go to the bathroom, go. When you get home after work don’t just sit around, try to get out once in a while, take a walk or a stroll through the park or just walk around your neighborhood. If you feel like going to the gym, that’s a great idea and you should do it. When it comes to eating right, that may be a hard task for someone to master but your health is worth it, right? Pickup couple of books on healthy eating and learn how to cook. Believe me, after initial hesitation and frustration you will love it. You’ll be eating healthier foods, feel better and actually cooking at home saves quite a lot of money compared to buying take out food or eating out. Try to avoid too much spicy food; it can lead to irritation which can be painful in case you have prostatitis. Quit smoking and drinking. Tobacco consumption reduces the zinc levels in prostate fluids which leads to highly decreased immunity and leaves your prostate vulnerable. Alcohol, caffeine and too much chocolate also have negative effect on prostate so you should keep that in check as well. One more rather fun aspect that you will surely enjoy is frequent ejaculation. Men who avoid sexual activity based on their religious belief or other circumstances are 70% more likely to get prostatitis and develop a whole range of unpleasant complications. If you can have more sex, do it. If for some reason you can’t it is highly recommended to masturbate at least two times per week.
